A full website redesign for one of Glasgow’s most iconic Italian restaurants. We focused on sleek visuals, mobile-first responsiveness, and impressive user experience to match the premium dining experience Amore is known for.
Project Overview
Amore Merchant City is one of Glasgow’s most iconic and recognisable Italian restaurants, known for its grand interiors, central location, and long-standing reputation. From the start, we understood that this was not just another website. It was about doing justice to a local institution and elevating their digital presence to reflect the in-person experience.
Over the course of seven weeks, we held regular meetings with the ownership team to ensure the project was developed with their direct input and vision at every stage. These sessions allowed us to build a strong working relationship and deliver a highly tailored result that captured the personality, quality, and prestige of the brand.
ResDiary, their preferred reservation system, was integrated seamlessly into the site to provide a smooth experience for both customers and staff. We also carried out a full branding match, using the exact hex colour codes found in their interiors to create a consistent feel across both digital and physical touchpoints.
Beyond design, we advised strategically on the website’s structure. This involved planning out which pages were necessary, what content should be placed where, and how to guide users through the site in a way that encourages engagement and bookings.
SEO was carried out across all key pages to boost search visibility and drive organic traffic, with a focus on attracting both locals and tourists looking for an exceptional dining experience in Merchant City.
To ensure lasting value, we delivered tailored training to Amore’s upper management. This included guidance on accessing and interpreting site analytics, managing customer queries from the website, and maintaining control of their digital presence moving forward.
This project was not just a visual refresh. It was a full digital transformation for one of Glasgow’s most recognised hospitality venues, shaped with care, strategy, and precision throughout.
