A complete website and operational systems project for ARC Fitness Club, bringing together a premium online presence, memberships, class bookings and physical gate access. Alongside the website, we developed custom middleware connecting Wix with UniFi and a dedicated operations dashboard, giving the team a central place to oversee key areas of the club’s day-to-day running.
Project Overview
A Complete Digital System for ARC Fitness Club
ARC Fitness Club required a substantial digital setup to support a premium fitness and recovery business. Our work covered the public website, membership and booking journeys, custom gate access middleware and a dedicated internal operations dashboard. Each part serves a different audience, but all contribute to the same experience: helping customers discover the club, arrange their training and access the facilities, while giving the team visibility over the systems behind it.
The complexity came from connecting those different stages. A website visit can lead to a membership purchase, a class reservation and a physical visit to the gym. Behind that journey sit customer records, booking availability and access eligibility. We worked across both the customer-facing experience and the operational software needed to bring those processes together.
A Bespoke Website That Represents the Club
We designed and developed the ARC website around the quality and breadth of the club itself. The site introduces the training environment, Reformer Pilates studio, heated classes and recovery facilities through a considered visual presentation, supported by clear navigation and dedicated content for the different parts of the business.
Visitors can explore the club, compare routes into training and move towards joining or booking. Memberships, individual classes, class packs and day passes each need a clear place within that journey. Structuring these options coherently was an important part of the build, helping customers understand what is available and how to take the next step.
The website also brings practical information into the experience, including opening hours, location, contact details, frequently asked questions and routes to manage booked classes or request membership cancellation. It supports the relationship with customers beyond their first enquiry.
Memberships, Class Packs & Day Passes
ARC serves customers with different training habits and levels of commitment. The project therefore included configuring online journeys for club memberships, class packs and day passes, rather than relying on one generic booking route.
These options sit alongside distinct class offerings, including Reformer Pilates, Functional Fitness, Hot Yoga and Hot Sculpt. The structure gives customers a way to find the activity and purchasing option that suits them, while keeping the wider club offering connected within one website.
On the operational side, members, class packs and day passes also have dedicated sections within the ARC dashboard. This reflects the scope of the project: the customer-facing options were considered alongside the information the team needs to oversee them.
Class Booking & Timetable Integration
The booking experience is backed by class information held in Wix. Within the custom operations dashboard, the team can review a weekly timetable showing sessions, instructors, booked places, available spaces and waitlist totals. Staff can move between weeks and search for classes or attendees.
Individual session views bring together the class time, coach, location, capacity and confirmed booking records. This provides useful context for understanding both the session itself and who is expected to attend.
The distinction between a confirmed booking and a cancelled or declined record also matters beyond the timetable. It feeds into the access model, where eligibility for temporary class access is tied to confirmed attendance. Connecting these concepts was a key part of making the booking system relevant to the physical operation of the club.
Custom Middleware Connecting Wix & UniFi
A major part of the project was the development of custom middleware connecting Wix with ARC’s UniFi gate access system. This integration bridges online business data and physical access infrastructure, extending the project beyond the boundaries of a conventional website build.
Wix holds the customer-facing membership and booking experience, while UniFi provides the access-control environment. The middleware forms the connection between these systems so that access decisions can be related to the club’s digital records.
This required thinking about the relationship between a booking, the person attending and the period during which access should be available. The work involved integration logic and operational rules as well as interface design, bringing together systems with very different responsibilities.
Booking-Based Access Eligibility
For class attendance, the system defines temporary access eligibility around confirmed bookings. The operations dashboard shows a planned access window beginning 20 minutes before a class and ending 20 minutes after it finishes.
This gives the access model a clear relationship to the session being attended. A booking is associated with a particular class and time, rather than being treated as an unrestricted reason for access. Cancelled or declined booking records are distinguished from confirmed attendees.
Making the planned access window visible in the session view also gives the team context when reviewing a booking or an access query. The booking information and the intended access rules can be understood together.
A Dedicated Operations Dashboard
We developed a separate internal operations dashboard for ARC, bringing key parts of the club’s digital setup into a purpose-built interface. Its navigation covers members, classes, class packs, day passes, class ratings and connections, giving the team a structured place to work with operational information.
The class-management area draws information directly from Wix, presenting timetable and attendee details in a format designed around the club’s day-to-day needs. This connects the custom interface to the booking records used by the customer-facing website.
The dashboard also includes an overview designed to surface gate status, entry and exit activity, and gym occupancy when the access feed is available. Connection-status indicators cover Wix, the middleware and UniFi, recognising that an integrated system needs visibility over its individual components as well as the information they exchange.
The scope therefore includes both customer experience and internal usability. The public site helps people understand and use the club, while the operations interface gives the team a focused view of the information and connections supporting it.
Ownership Handover & Ongoing Middleware Support
The work extended through to the website ownership handover, with ongoing middleware support arranged separately. This recognised the different responsibilities involved in owning and maintaining the website and supporting the integration between digital records and gate access.
Delivering the project meant working across design, website development, booking configuration, custom integration logic and internal software. The finished scope brings together the public-facing brand experience and the systems that support the club behind the scenes.
The Value of the Project
ARC demonstrates the breadth of what Spectre Projects can deliver for a business with connected operational requirements. The website is the visible starting point, supported by membership and booking journeys, a custom link to physical access infrastructure and an internal dashboard.
The value lies in connecting those parts around the way the club works. Customers have clear routes to explore, join and book. Staff have a dedicated interface for reviewing class information and access eligibility. The business has a digital setup built around its own combination of facilities, services and operating needs.
